New Version of MultiTest Examinations and Testing Released
|
A new version of the MultiTest Examination and Testing module with easier to use set up procedures and improved database handling, statistical analysis and graphical outputs has been released. This follows feedback from a number of users, especially those in higher education who required more flexible and easier to use setting up procedures. Drop down menu’s for departments, courses and student details have been included as well as the option to undertake further analysis, with improved presentation of results, on the reliability and performance of questions. Both graphical and numerical analysis (including individual marks, percentages, degree of difficulty and question performance, reliability and spread) can be generated by the system with structured queries, utilising both And/Or arguments, available for a more detailed breakdown of information. A further advantage is the ability to publish the results on the Web as required, so that rather than the system administrator having to send the details to individual lecturers or exam co-ordinators the results can be accessed on the Web using security passwords etc.
When combined with the QuestionBank facility, which allows users to print question papers for use in conjunction with the examination module, the new version of MultiTest is both extremely powerful and user friendly. Chris Macken, Head of Sales & Marketing for Trax UK, stated "Several of our users, including Manchester Metropolitan University who trialled the system for one examination and immediately purchased, have reported that the new version was both intuitive and flexible in its approach. They liked the idea of being able to design their own form format, extract the requisite data and also use the system for other purposes such as surveys, monitoring and other types of assessment".
