& Scan V6.00 To Be Released at BETT 2001
A new
version of Print & Scan (V6.00) will be released at the
BETT 2001 show in January.
Features in the new version include: -
Up
to 250 data fields which allows users to import data from other
databases such as names, addresses, personal details, etc. as well
as being able to place a similar number of hand entry objects onto
forms for either Image or Web collection. Users can also use a mix
of imported data and hand entry objects on a form again to a maximum
of 250 database fields.
Up
to 30 pages/forms allowed against a database instead of the original
ten. This aspect was tested recently in a medical practical assessment
examination (OSCE) where there were 27 different aspects/tests to
the examination, which were all scanned from one database.
200 Answer boxes with up to ten responses against each. This covers
requests from users wishing to use individual boxes, e.g. say listing
100 drugs and the user selecting which ones the patient was prescribed.
Redesigned task/database screen, which allows users to create, print,
scan or view results through a single screen rather than several.
Information also includes revised form highlighting which tells
the operator, by colour coding, which form is currently selected
or does not exist in the task menu.
Improved query results option which now includes the 'and'/'or'
statements as well as the original `if'/`then' statements with no
limit on the number of queries.
Improved queries on import/export and printing using the options
above.
Up to a twelve digit reference in place of the original eight digits.
Dynamic ruler pointers, which allow easier text alignment with,
snap to grid turned off.
New form preview option with zoom in/out facilities incorporated.
Import/Export questions into QuestionBank along with a new form
text/answer box linking option.
Improved Web site generation code for Internet/Intranet operation.
The image recognition option has also been improved to enable users
to obtain improved recognition and decrease the form verification
process.
Telephone data gathering option whereby users can deploy staff to
undertake surveys over the telephone. Operators are taken to each
question automatically via special links with split screens. Enhanced
display modes are used reduce errors and strain.
